The Lima City Tour

Get to know Lima, the Capital of Peru, in this one-day tour. Visit ancient pre-Incan ruins, colonial palaces in the main-square, and modern Lima – all in one day. In this trip you will visit the pre-Inca ruins of Pachacamac, with their dramatic view of the Pacific Ocean - have lunch and see a cooking demonstration of Peruvian foods in a highly-rated restaurant in Miraflores  - visit downtown and the colonial plaza, while observing the beautiful architecture and monuments – visit the dark and dusty catacombs beneath the Convent of San Francisco - and conclude with an optional visit to the Magic Water Circuit for a thrilling light, water and music show.


Tour Itinerary

The Lima City Tour

  • 9:00 AM – Pickup from hotel or hostel
  • 9:30 AM – 11:30AM  – Visit the pre-Inca ruins of Pachacamac
  • 11:45 AM – 1:00 PM – Lunch and cooking demonstration in Miraflores
  • 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM – Visit Downtown Lima and the Colonial “Plaza de Armas” (Main Plaza) – See the Government Palace, City Hall, Torre Tagle Palace and the House of El Oidor
  • 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM – Explore the catacombs and the library at the Convent of San Francisco – it is estimated that approximately 70,000 cadavers are buried beneath the Convent!
  • 5:00 – Return to hotel or hostel, or restaurant for dinner
  • 7:00 PM – Optional visit to the Magic Water Circuit – featuring a brilliant display of light, water and music.
